Hank Azaria & the EZ Street Band, a Bruce Springsteen tribute and Azaria’s newest project, is coming to Orlando on February 6, and you can win tickets to the show.
The idea for the tribute act came about when Azaria was thinking up ideas for his 60th birthday party.
“I told people I had a Springsteen tribute band coming, but I didn’t tell them that I’d been working for months and months to be the frontman,” he says.
“Honestly, the hardest I’ve ever worked is singing like Bruce,” he added.
The challenge came in mimicking Springsteen’s gravelly voice, in addition to the singing proponent.
Azaria gives props to the EZ Street Band, which came together quickly to reproduce that signature Springsteen sound.
“We only we rehearsed for about a month before that birthday party, they’re amazing,” he says. “Most of them didn’t know Springsteen’s music. Now they all love it.”
