For the Zen Seeker

What better way to get grounded than by planting your toes in some lush grass and inhaling the fresh air? On the weekends, yogis of all levels can opt for alfresco classes at Lake Nona’s Crescent Park and Winter Park’s Mead Botanical Garden. Or, for some yoga with a twist, even more options await.

Mennello Museum of Art

For an artistic take on outdoor yoga, head to the Mennello Museum of Art, set alongside the peaceful ambiance of Lake Formosa. Every Sunday, you can join a yoga class on the museum’s lawn, surrounded by stunning sculptures in the Sculpture Garden.

Wildlife sightings add to the charm; look out for pelicans gliding across the lake or otters frolicking in the water. After class, your fee includes admission to the museum, where exhibits like folk artist Earl Cunningham’s colorful works provide inspiration for the week ahead.

Insider Tip: Make a day of it by packing a picnic and enjoying a late lunch under a shady tree.

Don’t worry; the experience is safe for you and the animals. (Imagine a child walking on your back.) The serene farm setting, with its sprawling fields and occasional neighs, enhances the sense of tranquility.
