Harris Rosen’s Healthy Lifestyle And His Commitment To Water Safety
Harris Rosen, President & COO of Rosen Hotels & Resorts, leads by example in more ways than one. He’s the picture of health, regularly swimming one and a fourth miles (or 45 laps) and placing among the best in the nation in his age range for his workouts on the rowing machine. Aquatics is one of his passions; he helped save the facility that is now the Rosen Aquatic & Fitness Center from demolition not once, but twice, and is dedicated to saving lives through water safety training and swimming lessons. An active business figure and arts enthusiast, Pritchard’s expertise and guidance have been sought after for numerous boards and organizations. She currently serves as the Chair Elect of the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts. She is also a board member and manages affairs for the noted Chelonian Research Institute, founded by her late husband, world-renowned expert in the study, research and preservation of turtles, Dr. Peter Pritchard, one of Time magazine’s Heroes of the Planet.
Her sincere commitment to her local, regional and global communities has resulted in numerous honors, awards and recognitions. Among those, she was named one of Orlando Magazine’s 50 Most Powerful in Entertainment & the Arts and Women Who Mean Business by the Orlando Business Journal. She was awarded the Heart for the Arts award from the Seminole County Council for the Arts. Her leadership awards include recognition for outstanding service from The National Conference for Community and Justice and the Association to Preserve the Eatonville Community. Her dynamic personality and unending commitment have been recognized and honored globally.
