Tim Quinn is the Celebrity Face Designer and National Director of Creative Artistry for Giorgio Armani Beauty. He joined the team with the launch of the brand in 2001. His career has included numerous photo shoots and magazine layouts, plus work in TV and film. Quinn also has worked with several celebrities including Glenn Close, Uma Thurman, January Jones, Kerry Washington, Minnie Driver and Gwen Stefani.

Here, he offers his makeup styling tips for Spring 2013.
“Luminous matte is the key, both in complexion and lip color.” For our spring fashion photo shoot, Quinn used Giorgio Armani’s Maestro fusion makeup on our model, Yvette. “It’s the ultimate no makeup look—seamless, weightless and applied like a serum with your fingertips.” He also added a bit of Fluid Sheer, on the tops of Yvette’s cheekbones and at the cupid’s bow of her mouth, to add dimension.

For the lips, Quinn recommends playing with color. On Yvette, he used Lip Maestro, Giorgio Armani’s new liquid matte lacquer, in a range of colors from barely-there nudes to pop art hues of orange, fuchsia and red.

For the eyes, “be playful,” says Quinn. “Fashion is all about color, and a great shade of green or turquoise can modernize any eye look. Be as bold as you feel—there are no limits!”

Quinn suggests using the season’s runway looks as inspiration, then tailor the looks to fit your individual style. “A pop of color can work in the office as well as on the town—just play with depth and texture.”

Lastly, he says, always keep a waterproof black liner on hand to instantly add drama to your eyes and use a generous amount of mascara.

Melanie Pace is a wardrobe stylist, fashion consultant, fashion correspondent and personal shopper. The Orlando native started her own styling and wardrobe consulting business in 2006. Her resume includes working as a wardrobe stylist for E! with Giuliana Rancic; Ferragamo Fashion show production and styling; fashion show stylist for Bloomingdale’s, Neiman Marcus and The Mall at Millenia. She is also an on-air fashion expert for local TV station Fox 35.

Here, she talks about some of the spring 2013 fashion trends shown above.

For women:

“The printed pant is a must-have for spring—the bolder the color, the better,” she says. “Take a risk and add a printed shoe or bag to make the outfit pop and look pulled together.”

If you love to make a statement, Pace suggests wearing print on print. “Just keep it simple with shoes and jewelry. The outfit will speak volumes already.”

Get more bang for your buck and try wearing a dress as a top. “A high-waisted full skirt is the perfect piece to add over a shorter, body-con dress.”

“Hues of yellow are everywhere for spring. This is the color of happiness! Work it into your wardrobe with your prints,” says Pace. Her tip if you want to make your legs look longer and leaner: “Wear the same color shoe as your pant.”

Black and white is always a classic. “Try mixing it up with different prints to make it more interesting,” Pace says.

For men:

“Pull off colored denim by choosing the color that speaks to you,” says Pace. “If you aren’t someone who takes fashion risks, then keep it simple on top.”

“Blazers aren’t just for a nice dinner or a meeting. Try a more casual lightweight blazer with shorts and a T-shirt or button-down.”

Hats—for men and women—are a must-have this season, Pace says. And they are available in a wide variety of shapes, colors and materials.

Add a pop of seasonal color with a light, sporty track jacket—perfect for Central Florida’s changeable weather.

For a cool and casual evening look, Pace suggests pairing a crisp white T-shirt with a lightweight navy suit.
