ABOUT US

The Brain & Nerve Center is an advanced neuromuscular and neurology care center founded in 2011 by Dr. Chakfe to provide residents of Central Florida with individualized, superior neurologic care. Dr. Chakfe is a distinguished neurologist and neuromuscular specialist, a talented educator and neuroscientist who has over 25 years of combined expertise in neurologic care, teaching, and research that enabled him to position his practice at the forefront of neurology providers in Central Florida.

We utilize state-of-the-art technology and diagnostic tools combined with up-to-date, evidence-based therapies to individualize the care to meet each patient’s needs and co-existing health issues. We enjoy managing patients with all neurologic conditions, particularly those with challenging presentations.

AREAS OF EXPERTISE

The primary focus of our practice is the diagnosis and management of patients with neuromuscular conditions such as motor neuron disease (e.g., Lou Gehrig disease), autoimmune neuromuscular conditions such as myasthenia gravis, Guillain Barre Syndrome, CIDP, and other neuropathies and muscle diseases. Among other neurologic conditions he treats are Migraine and headaches, autoimmune encephalopathy, memory disorders and Dementia, multiple sclerosis, stroke, epilepsy, dizziness and gait difficulty, tremors, Parkinson’s disease, and many others.

Fellowship in Clinical Neurophysiology and Neuromuscular Medicine, Brigham & Women’s Hospital, Massachusetts General Hospital, and Harvard Medical School. Board Certifications in Neurology, Clinical Neurophysiology, Neuromuscular Medicine, and Electrodiagnostic Medicine.

Yuan Tian, DNP, APRN: BSc. in Nursing, University of Central Florida. Doctor of Nursing Practice in Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner, University of Central Florida. Certification, American Nurses Credentialing Center.
