Meet the Founders of Urban Perch- Eric Rey and Bianca Khoury!
Since 2014, Urban Perch – A Boutique Home Builder has been crafting custom homes with heart, and now, we’re celebrating 10 years of transforming dreams into reality right here in the Winter Park community! But the passion for building goes back much further, rooted in the vision of our co-founder, Eric Rey, whose journey started long before Urban Perch became a name. Inspired by his father, who founded Rey Homes in 1978, Eric grew up immersed in the homebuilding world. After earning his degree from the University of Florida in 2003, he returned to Central Florida, where he initially made his mark in commercial construction before following his true calling—residential homebuilding.
Today, Eric and his wife, Bianca Khoury, a Rollins College graduate, are the dynamic duo behind Urban Perch. Together, they’ve spent the last decade guiding homeowners through the building process across Winter Park, College Park, and Greater Orlando. Eric’s background in project management and construction, combined with Bianca’s expertise in design and real estate, creates the perfect blend of craftsmanship and vision. Their mission? To build not just homes, but relationships—with clients, communities, and the neighborhoods they help shape. And it’s personal for them—they’re raising their two children in one of their very first “perches,” right in Winter Park.
When asked if he ever envisioned Urban Perch being nominated for the Best of Orlando or Best of Winter Park Home Builder, Eric smiles, pointing to a childhood drawing from 1986 of himself as a “house builder.” “We’ve come a long way!” he laughs. He credits the incredible dedication of the Urban Perch team and the unwavering support of his family for making this dream a reality.
